Business Administrator Apprentice

The Business Administrator Apprentice will rotate their time between working in the accounting, human resources, and marketing departments learning a variety of business and support functions. While in accounting you will gain an understanding of a variety of accounting procedures and how they impact the business. Human resources will detail how the hiring process works from interview to onboarding, as well as the benefits process and employee retention. The marketing department will teach you how to market products on a large scale from writing copy to managing large shows. This program offers the unique chance to learn about multiple areas of an international company and find what interests you long term.
An apprenticeship at Pilatus will open the door to a wide choice of career opportunities. This dual-track model allows for both work-based and classroom-based instruction. The program starts in July 2022 and the duration is 2 years. Apprentices are eligible to earn a Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship from the U.S. Department of Labor.

What you do

  • Assists with recruitment activities such as job postings, administering pre-employment tests, and scheduling interviews for potential candidates
  • Coordinates event welcome packets, name tags, and registration information
  • Assists HR manager with open enrollment and other benefits related projects
  • Supports the annual coordination of calendar mailing and other special projects as needed
  • Understand the full cycle of a financial transaction from start to finish, which will include assisting with financial transactions such as; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Reconciliations, Aircraft files and sales, and Audit documentation
  • Gain experience in understanding the overall picture of a company's financial functions

What you bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Patience to learn new skills in an on-the-job training environment
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person in compliance with ITAR 22 CFR 120.15
