Procedures & Tools Lead

Our Structural Engineering department has an immediate opening for a Procedures & Tools Lead.

Your place of work: Stans, Switzerland

What you do:

  • Leading the Procedure, Tools and Global Finite Element Model (GFEM) team within the New Projects Structural Engineering organization
  • Coordinating the maintenance and development of strength/fatigue/damage tolerance analyses tools including FEM pre and post processor tools
  • Coordinating the maintenance and development of the Pilatus Stress Manual modules
  • Coordinating the generation and update of General Finite Element Model of the complete Aircraft for both strength/fatigue/damage tolerance and loads/dynamic analyses
  • Coordinating the update of materials and fasteners structural data database
  • Coordination and leadership of strategic projects and initiatives aimed at improving and optimizing structural analyses processes and support analyses methodologies for new design and manufacturing processes

What you bring:

  • Master of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with focus on aircraft structures design and sizing, or equivalent
  • A minimum 10 years of working experience as structural engineer on aircraft primary and secondary structures
  • A minimum 5 years of working experience in leading a small multidisciplinary engineering group (up to 4-6 team members)
  • Sound knowledge in classical stress analysis and FE structural analysis methods. Familiarity with aerospace structural analyses tools (ideally Siemens and Femap products)
  • Exposure to advanced composites parts design and manufacturing techniques will be advantageous
  • Flexible, ambitious, innovative and able to lead and motivate the Team while working on tight schedules
  • Sound German and English verbal and written level, and good communication skills
