What you do

  • Remote resolution of customer driven engineering issues in the structural engineering domain
  • Design of minor and major repairs to metallic airframe structures for specific customer aircraft and standard repairs for the aircraft repair manual
  • Static and fatigue substantiation of minor/major repairs and modifications to metallic airframe structures using traditional and FE analysis methods, plus safe life and damage tolerant analysis
  • Analysis of structural suitability of specific airframes for life extension
  • Liaison and coordination with the customer support groups

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in mechanical or aeronautical engineering (focus structural analysis)
  • 3 years of experience in airframe stress and F&DT analysis in the field of customer engineering support
  • Familiarity with NASTRAN, FEMAP or similar packages as well as F&DT tools (e.g. AFGROW)
  • Familiarity with CS/FAR Part 23
  • English level C1; German knowledge would be an advantage
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision in a dynamic and responsive environment
