What you do

  • Plans and directs all department activities related to aircraft interior installations and maintenance and ensures work flow meets scheduled delivery dates
  • Manages department operations to achieve all quality, cost, and delivery commitments
  • Responsible for maintenance department activities including maintenance of production and demonstrator aircraft
  • Oversees work performed and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Provides department capacity planning, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs
  • Ensures personnel observe safety precautions and follow safe work standards within the repair station
  • Develops or revises process methods and manufacturing techniques for continual procedure and product improvement
  • Establishes individual and department goals and monitors progress to accomplish organization objectives
  • Ensures training is provided and documented
  • Performs timely reconciliation of work orders
  • Performs monthly audits of work order and work package hours
  • Produces monthly reports and prepares annual department budgets
  • Coordinates production requirements to meet external customer expectations
  • Interfaces with key vendors to support effective achievement of goals
  • Maintains effective working relationships with management, staff, and other departments

What you bring

  • B.S. or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of aviation management or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of general aviation aircraft maintenance and FAA Airframe and Powerplant License preferred
  • Previous experience with Part 145 Repair Station regulations and operations
  • Excellent leadership and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Focus on setting and achieving specific standards with an emphasis on schedule and quality
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person in compliance with ITAR 22 CFR 120.15
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required for business-related travel or offsite training
