What you do
- Design of minor and major repairs to metallic airframe structures for specific customer aircraft and standard repairs for the aircraft repair manual
- Static and fatigue substantiation of minor/major repairs and modifications to metallic airframe structures using traditional and FE analysis methods, plus safe life and damage tolerant analysis
- Design and substantiation of minor repairs to non primary structure composite parts
- Analysis of structural suitability of specific airframes for life extension
- Resolution of civil customer driven issues in the structural engineering domain
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering with focus on structural analysis
- Around 2 years of experience in airframe stress and FDT analysis in the field of customer engineering support
- Familiarity with NASTRAN, FEMAP or similar packages as well as FDT tools (e.g. AFGROW)
- English level C1; German knowledge would be an advantage
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision in a dynamic and responsive environment
