Fly with us into the future and become part of the team at one of the most innovative aircraft manufacturers in the world.

Your Tasks
  • Perform simulation and modelling of aircraft dynamics and systems across one or more of the following areas: flight models, ground dynamics models, atmospheric and environmental effects, flight control systems, control loading systems, propulsion systems (engine and propeller), autopilot and guidance systems or computer-generated forces
  • Coordinate ground and flight test data acquisition activities covering flight physics, avionics, propulsion and mechanical systems to support the development and validation of flight simulators
  • Ensure compliance of simulation models with applicable simulator qualification standards and regulations (EASA, ICAO, FAA), maintain the Qualification Test Guide (QTG) and support customer qualification activities
  • Support system integration, installation, Verification & Validation (V&V) and in-service support activities, in collaboration with project management, quality management, suppliers and customers
  • Apply systems engineering processes in accordance with the V-model framework for Ground Based Training System (GBTS) products, with a focus on the development, verification & validation of flight simulators and flight training devices
  • Define, derive and manage system requirements based on customer contracts, market needs and product lifecycle considerations to support the development of Pilatus training products as well as prepare and review technical documentation including technical specifications and system/software design documents in accordance with internal processes and applicable quality standards
With this you convince us
  • Master degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or similar degree, with a focus on flight physics (particularly aerodynamics, flight dynamics and aircraft performance), avionics and complex systems
  • Experience with C++, python and Matlab/Simulink, control loading systems (e.g., MOOG) and integration of models in training devices with complex hardware/software in the loop; knowledge of the applicable regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA, ICAO) is a distinctive advantage
  • Knowledge of system engineering methodologies (e.g., MIL-498), quality standards and tools for requirements management (e.g., DOORS), agile project management (Jira) and configuration management (e.g., Teamcenter) is a distinctive advantage
  • Excellent social and communication skills with a fluency in English (spoken and written)
