Skytech Inc. – The Authorised Pilatus Centre of the Northeast United States

Based in the eastern United States, Pilatus dealer Skytech celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The Skytech-Pilatus relationship goes back many years. Pilatus Aircraft Ltd

An authorised Pilatus PC-12 dealer, Skytech is an excellent example of the sort of close and long-standing relationship that Pilatus likes to cultivate with its Sales & Service Centers. Back in 1994, Skytech demonstrated great farsightedness when it applied to become a PC-12 dealer. Working in close partnership with Pilatus, the team at the company headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, had gradually built up the spare parts distribution centre for the continually growing PC-12 fleet in North America.

Those early days lie far in the past – the PC-12 is now a global success and Skytech regularly figures amongst our top dealers by number of aircraft sold. John Foster, President of Skytech, tells us there is no typical PC-12 buyer profile within the company’s sales territory: “The PC-12’s capabilities in terms of range and cost efficiency hold great appeal for a broad customer base. We have successfully sold the PC-12 to companies, air taxi operators, private pilots and even air cargo handlers.”

Entry into charter business

Skytech currently operates out of Rock Hill Airport in South Carolina and Westminster Airport in Maryland. Martin State Airport in Baltimore, where the company was founded in 1976, remains home to the administrative headquarters. Skytech has long provided a wide range of services for private aircraft owners and entrylevel business aircraft, and is proud to be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. John Foster comments: “We will mark this special year in a number of different ways, of which the highlight will undoubtedly be our debut in the air taxi/charter business – with a PC-12, of course!”
