This role goes beyond traditional production planning. It combines shopfloor production control, SAP-based order management, material prioritization, and day-to-day operational steering of an aircraft assembly line.
Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd is launching PC-12 final assembly in Sarasota, FL and seeks experienced assembly professionals for its Launch Team. After 6–12 months of training in Stans, Switzerland (from summer 2026), you return as a core expert, steering SAP-based production, materials, and operational ramp-up while mentoring new staff.

What you do
- Analyzes production specifications to define processes, tools, and staffing needs
- Prepares, releases, and controls SAP production work orders, including rework from quality, configuration changes
- Prioritizes critical and missing material with logistics, procurement, and disposition to protect schedule
- Develops operational strategies and provides engineering support to meet production and financial targets
- Learns Pilatus production control methods and SAP in Switzerland and transfers standards to Sarasota
- Supports digitalization and continuous improvement in production planning and control
- Operates as a coordination hub across functions, identifying risks early and driving data-based mitigation and problem-solving
What you bring
- Technical or industrial education (e.g., industrial engineering, manufacturing, aviation, or comparable technical background)
- Minimum of 5 – 8 years of experience in production control, manufacturing planning, or shopfloor operations (aerospace or complex manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP (S/4 or ECC) experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience in work order release, tracking and follow-up; material prioritization and shortage management; KPI-driven decision-making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work fact-based and structured
- Confident communicator able to interface across functions and organizational levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
