Igor Medici has been with Pilatus since 2009, and became a member of the management in January 2026.
He is currently responsible for research and development of Pilatus products and leads a team of around 500 engineers. For the past seven years he occupied the post of Director New Projects in charge of determining the strategic orientation of new aircraft projects. He played a key role in the development of the PC 24.
After graduating with a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering, Igor Medici held senior positions with an aviation company based in Central Switzerland – as Head of Development and Head of Airworthiness. Prior to that he demonstrated his pioneering spirit early on as chief engineer in Ticino, where he made a key contribution to the new development of a visionary kit aircraft.
A Swiss national, Igor Medici lives in canton Nidwalden.
