Pilatus is deeply saddened by the passing of Oscar J. Schwenk, our former long-time Chairman of the Board of Directors.
He assumed responsibility for Pilatus in the 1990s – in times of crisis – and in the decades that followed, transformed and built up the company, turning it into one of the most successful Swiss industrial enterprises. He was an outstanding entrepreneur who, whilst keeping his feet firmly on the ground, was an incredibly talented visionary.
We have him and his team to thank for the PC-7 MkII, the PC-12, the PC-21 and the PC-24. All these aircraft bear his signature and will draw his spirit in the skies day after day.
We offer our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
His values live on in the company and we will carry his legacy forward, true to his motto:
Once Pilatus, always Pilatus!

The memorial service will be held on Friday, 18 August 2023, at 10:30 in the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Stans.
